Newmarket Academy fire damages classes at school
About 30 firefighters tackled a blaze at a secondary school which may have been caused by a lightning strike. The Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) for this site should have highlighted the need for surge protection and the issues within BS 62305 which would have much reduced the risk of this fire or, possibly avoided it altogether.
