Since 2017 it has been a mandatory requirement to disclose to the insurance provider by the client or broker, any and all formally advised non compliance issues relating to the electrical and life safety systems within the building that have not been the subject of a formal instruction to rectify these.

At each service or at a formal takeover of a new system, the BAFE requirements are for ALL non compliance issues to be written into a formal report and passed to the client with a request for instructions to rectify these.

Failure to follow this path could lead to the clients insurance cover being rescinded in the event of a claim subsequently being made.
