Changes to the requirements for fire doors and fire stopping

Changes to the requirements for fire doors and fire stopping under BS 476 post Grenfell and as a result of the preliminary notes from the Hackitt report require that ALL fire door work and passive fire stopping must follow an expected and recognised code of practice like the Q Mark as provided by both Gerda and Exova BM Trada, this has been long in coming and now makes a requirement that the door set, including leaf, ironmongery and frame are treated as a single entity and thus are supplied together having been kiln tested and validated together to qualify their fire rating.
